Who would have thought that Paul Allen would turn to patent trolling? Wall Street Journal brings us an analysis of this frivolous lawsuit against all the largest tech companies in Silicon Vally – but not Microsoft and Amazon.

I hope this claim gets crushed in court.

Research in Motion caves, Indian Gov’t can snoop peoples Secure Data.

BlackBerry is now on my Boycot List. They caved and will be providing the Indian Gov’t with users secure data from the first of September.

I don’t have polite words to express how much this sickens me. Here’s hoping that South Africa will not go that route.

People all over the world are electing governments that are impairing their freedoms to protect them agains perceived threats. In effect the sheep are saying “Let’s make the wolves our leaders, they will protect us against the foxes.”

Google Aiming To Become Supplier Of Everything Web?

Google is aiming for world domination. I swear if you look closely the robots in Terminator have Google stickers on them.

On a more serious note, Google is expanding their services at an alarming rate. From 1GIGabits per second Internet to Google TV, there seem to be no market to obscure for them not to try and play in it.

Yes they even bought Zynga, the guys behind my personal favorite irritation, Farmville.

Open source Facebook competitor set to launch

Diaspora is almost here. It is a distributed social networking platform. It might work, but I looked at it (I even think I created a profile.. and it seems to geek centric for widespread adoption by the masses.

Will it be successful? Well it launches on 15 September, check it out.
