Today Windows Bad XP is nine years old. Nine years old it is still better than Bad Vista, and I have many of my years of paid IT support to owe to good old XP.

Microsoft to significantly reduce boot time in Windows 8
I dunno. Even though I am a Linux geek the thought of a new version of Windows in two years time excites me. Linux needs good competition, and Win8 will be good if Win7 is the starting point for improvement.
Lowering boot times? Meh, to paraphrase a local ad: WE’VE BEEN HAVING IT!!!
