Kubuntu LogoRight so I have reviewed the Kubuntu Beta before, and now it is time to share some impressions of the full release.

UbuntuRecommended by SaGeekOkay, so the new Ubuntu Lucid Lynx is out today. Well almost. Users have been able to upgrade their systems to the latest version from early on, but the Ubuntu home page still does not advertise the download as ready. Desperate to try out the new release I upgraded my system as well. I will review a new install when I have downloaded an ISO and given it a spin.

Note that this review also introduces my new rating system. It is still early days though, so your opinions are welcomed to help me refine my ratings.

Having written a review of Ubuntu Lucid Lynx Beta 1 last week, I decided to just do a quick recap of Beta 2. Some things have changed, some things haven’t. It is understandable that this close to a final release there were no major changes. Feature freeze is almost here, after all.

Yes I have been busy this past weekend. I set myself a target of finishing three blog entries over the weekend, and this is the third, even if it is Thursday… Uhm, at least I think it is… anyhow, on to the topic at hand.
